How To Read Your Bill

Hampton Shaler Water Authority (HSWA)  understands that it can be confusing to decipher all the charges on your water bill.  HSWA sets the current water service and consumption charges, the clean water entering your home or business. All other charges are the rates provided by the municipalities, in the HSWA service area. A chart outlining the rates separated by the community can be seen below.

Residents in Etna and Sharpsburg have their trash collection services built into their bills.

Please keep in mind that HSWA bills for the sewage and trash services as a courtesy to these municipalities.  We do not keep any of those monies and they are passed through to the host municipalities.
